The once-great image format with a bit of an identity crisis. JPG is bright, friendly, and eager to please, but can’t help feeling a little insecure that they’re not as crisp or cutting-edge as they used to be. They remember the glory days when everyone relied on them, and they’re still trying to prove they’ve got plenty of pixels left to give. Charming, self-deprecating, and full of heart, JPG is on the search for self-acceptance. They want to stay relevant, fit in with the newer formats, and remind everyone that they’ve still got value, even if they’ve lost a little resolution along the way.
